Spring Finally!

March 27, 2008

The birds are singing, the chickens are laying eggs and the pollen is starting to make breathing a next-to-impossible feat. Yes, spring is finally here.

In honor of spring, I have two new spa cloths patterns to share with you. This are a little more complicated than the Simplicity line. I hope you like them.

This is the Feathers of Hope Cloth named for the Emily Dickinson poem “Hope is a Thing With Feathers

The pattern is available in pdf format here.

This one is called Arrow and Song Cloth. It was named for the Henry Wadsworth Longfellow poem “The Arrow and the Song

The pattern is available in pdf format here.

Hope you enjoy them.

ETA: In my excitement over completing these patterns, I forgot to add the list of abbreviations. I will upload a correction sometime in the next few days but for now here are the abbreviations used in these two patterns

K = Knit
P = Purl
YO= Yarn over
SKP = Slip 1 Knit 1 Pass slipped stitch over
S2KP = Slip 2 stitches together Knit 1 Pass slipped stitches over

When I made these additions, I will also add a lace pattern chart. If anyone finds any additional error please let me know so I can make the appropriate corrections.
